Chicken Broccoli Alfredo

1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken, cubed
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
3 – 4 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup onion, finely chopped
½ Tablespoon olive oil
3 cups fresh broccoli floweretts
2 cups skim milk
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 oz. fat-free cream cheese
1/3 cup shredded low-fat cheese, such as mozzarella, Swiss, or parmesan
1 pkg. whole wheat pasta, cooked and drained
In a medium saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add diced chicken, saute 1-2 minutes. Season the chicken with pepper and garlic powder. Add the onion and garlic and cook 1 – 2 minutes. Add the broccoli and continue to satue until the chicken is cooked through and the broccoli is tender-crisp. Add the cornstarch to the and stir until smooth; add the milk to the pan, and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, until it begins to thicken. Add the cheeses and stir until melted. Pour over the cooked pasta; toss.
