Apple Pie

 

2 prepared 8” pie crusts

6 – 8 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced

2 teaspoons vanilla

½ cup Splenda

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 ½ teaspoons apple pie spice

1 ½ tablespoons whole wheat flour

2 tablespoons Smart Balance spread
 

Preheat oven to 350°

Place sliced apples in a large bowl, add vanilla and mix to coat. In a small bowl combine sugars, spice, and flour. Stir well and pour over apples. Cut Smart Balance into small pieces and add to apples; mix well. Pour into prepared pie crust; top with other crust. Cut several small slits into top crust and seal the edges. Place pie onto foil lined baking sheet. Bake for 50 – 55 minutes, until crust is golden brown.
